Following their horrible match at Super ShowDown, it was reported by some new outlets that Goldberg and the Undertaker had engaged in a shouting match backstage, with the Phenom said to be angry with Goldberg for a number of botches in the match.
Goldberg himself has tweeted to say that he knocked himself out during the match, and that despite this, he tried to carry on. He went on the blame the frequent botches on being knocked out and dazed.
To the previous point, PWInsider is now reporting that there was no backstage argument, and that any reports of this are false.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider wrote the following when asked whether the backstage fight took place:
I have not heard one person with any legitimacy claim this as being true. In fact, when I asked about that rumor, it was quickly shot down by those who were actually in Saudi Arabia, so I tend to think that story is 100% fiction. Goldberg was not in any position to be fighting with anyone after their match. My belief is that he was checked out by WWE’s medical staff and if there was interaction after, it was likely Undertaker checking on his well being.
There have been several calls for the Undertaker and Goldberg to hang up their trunks once and for all after the match, with the Undertaker even liking a tweet suggesting he should retire.
