Following the conclusion of the first WWE Speed tournament, the company has announced new #1 contender tournament.
On the May 3 edition of Speed, Ricochet defeated Johnny Gargano to become the first-ever WWE Speed Champion in the tournament finals.
As previously reported, WWE CCO Triple H congratulated Ricochet on his first-ever title win.
After the crowning of the first champion, the company announced a new #1 contender tournament to determine who will challenge Ricochet first.
The bracket for the #1 contender tournament will see Apollo Crews vs. Ivar and Tyler Bate vs. Berto in the quarterfinals.
The winner of each bout will then face each other in the semifinals with the victor moving on to challenge Ricochet for the WWE Speed Championship.
Speed airs on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. Eastern on WWE’s Twitter/X account.
