In The Smashing Machine, The Rock reunites with his Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt to tell the story of MMA fighter Mark Kerr.
The movie is from the A24 studio which previously released The Iron Claw and is directed by Benny Safdie who co-wrote the script with Kerr.
A first look at Dwayne Johnson in the role of the two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion has now been shared by The Rock himself.
As can be seen in the Instagram image below from A24 and shared by The Rock, he certainly looks the part, complete with a head of dark hair but with his many tattoos covered up for the role.

The biopic will chart Kerr’s struggles with addiction along with his MMA career and features Blunt as his wife, Dawn Staples.
Deadline previously reported that Johnson was scheduled to be at the Cannes Film Festival to discuss The Smashing Machine with potential buyers.
