It’s Thursday, and you know what that means. It’s time for the weekly NXT Injury report on WWE Now.
Cameron Grimes is listed as day-to-day with a hip pointer. However, the major news is Johnny Gargano’s status.
Johnny Gargano is listed as not medically cleared after the attack by Finn Balor. Gargano was dropped on his head by Finn Balor.
WWE said Gargano was rushed to a medical facility to get a scan to look for head trauma and spinal injuries. The angle saw Finn Balor give Gargano a 1916 on the entrance ramp.
The move looked and sounded brutal.
Cameron Grimes has injured his hip in his match with Matt Riddle. The match was back and forth, but Riddle came out on top.
Each week, NXT gives us an injury update. These injuries are considered to be storyline and not real injuries. These are intended to give NXT a more sports like feel to the show. One thing that could help with this would be following up with the injuries.
Each week, they release this on WWE Now. However, it’s never mentioned again. If they would have Matt Camp provide on-screen updates on NXT each week like Jay Glazer does on Fox for the NFL, then it could further the storylines related to the show.
Grimes and Gargano are most likely going to be on next week’s show and won’t miss any TV time.
