Last week All Elite Wrestling revealed that they will be putting on a special ‘Bash at the Beach’ episode of Dynamite in January 2020.
‘Bash at the Beach’ was a WCW pay-per-view between 1994-2000 and WWE owned the term. It was believed that AEW Executive Vice President Cody actually bought the name earlier this year.
After the announcement, Cody implied that WWE was suing AEW. Many people speculated that it was over the use of the ‘Bash at the Beach’ name.
While WWE might not have sued AEW just yet, the company are reportedly considering taking legal action against the new promotion.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting that WWE are considering taking legal action to prevent AEW using the ‘Bash at the Beach’ name for their upcoming show.
“Some within WWE weren’t happy with AEW promoting a Bash at the Beach, and there’s talk that they may attempt to take action to stop it.”
