All Elite Wrestling has announced that Jake Hager has been fined and suspended after striking a referee at Fyter Fest. The incident occurred after Hager was defeated by Cody in their match for the TNT Championship.
AEW announced the suspension on Twitter earlier today:

“AEW has suspended Jake Hager for 10 days and fined him an undisclosed amount for striking an official following his TNT Championship match with Cody at Fyter Fest on AEW Dynamite”
During the closing moments of the match, Hager had Cody in the head-and-arm choke when Cody managed to pin his shoulders to the mat. Hager thought he had won but was shocked to find that Cody had pinned him. In his rage, he attacked the referee of the match. It appears this will set up a rematch between them for some time down the road.
Hager has responded to the tweet, calling the decision BS.
BS. Cody was out. It was a blown call, made worse by this decision.

Ten days is a strange number as this means he will only miss next week’s episode of Dynamite. This basically means we just won’t see Hager interfere in the Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy match. No big loss there.
