No, it wasn’t a heel turn. It just a heel turning more heel by attacking her partner. Bayley finally turned on Sasha Banks.
WWE has been teasing this most of this year. Truthfully, it goes even further back than that. These two have been destined to turn on each other for years dating back to therapy sessions back on Raw.
It finally happened tonight on SmackDown. The duo had a match with Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. According to Michael Cole, it was possibly the best tag team match in the history of the program.

While that was an exaggeration, the post-match angle certainly was note-worthy. They lost when Jax cross-bodied both of them and pinned them both.
After the match, the paramedics attended to Banks. She hurt her knees earlier in the match and Baszler attacked them throughout the match.
She pushed the help away and Bayley helped her onto the apron. That’s when the turn happened. Bayley would unleash a vicious attack.
Bayley would attack the knee. She finished the assault by wrapping the chair around Banks’ neck and stomping it.

Bayley was the most aggressive and ruthless we’ve ever seen her. Banks was taken away in an ambulance.
It appears we’re going to most likely see Banks off TV for a while until she returns for revenge. Then we should be a build for an extended period of time. Can they push this all the way to Mania? Or will we get Banks vs. Bayley in a Hell in a Cell?
