NOTE: A new update on Hardy’s condition can be found at this link.
Original story:
The latest update on the condition of Matt Hardy following the brutal fall during AEW All Out is that he has been released from the hospital.
This update comes per Dave Meltzer and follows Bryan Alvarez tweeting that he’d been told Hardy had been doing better today.
As we covered on the site earlier, Reby Hardy, Matt’s wife, did also tweet today saying that additional imaging needed to be done after his CT and that he had “1000%” suffered a concussion.
The incident saw Hardy and Sammy Guevara fall from an about 10-15ft platform, overshooting the tables that were meant to break their fall and the back of Hardy’s head smashed against the concrete floor.
What was worrying was he seemed to be down and out for a considerable amount of time, then when he got back up he was stumbling around. Despite this, the doctor let the match continue and they both climbed up to a similar height for the finish which was Guevara falling down to the floor and losing via Last Man Standing rules.
This was, and is, a scary situation. We really do send our best to Matt Hardy and wish him a safe recovery.
