As you will have seen if you watched this past week’s episode of NXT, Ridge Holland suffered a nasty looking leg injury while catching a diving Oney Lorcan.
Referees immediately threw up the dreaded “X” symbol with their arms to indicate to everyone in the back that a genuine injury had taken place, and Holland was stretchered out of the arena soon after.
His list of injuries is painful enough to read, so I don’t want to imagine how painful it was to actually experience. He dislocated and fractured his ankle, he dislocated his kneecap, and ruptured a tendon in his knee.
You can see the moment the injury took place below.
Have to feel for Ridge Holland here, this looks so nasty.
His leg folds underneath him as he attempts to base for Oney Lorcan. He’s set for a long spell out injured just as he was primed for a big angle.
Best wishes to him on the recovery! pic.twitter.com/6GsqhJQ8yL

Thankfully, Holland has now gone under the knife and the surgery was a success. However, he will likely be out of action for several months as a result.
The injury came at a terrible time for Holland, who was clearly being set up for a main event feud, having taken out Adam Cole during Sunday’s NXT TakeOver 31.
