During a recent interview with ESPN and Ariel Helwani, Paul Heyman commented on the possibility of Brock Lesnar stepping back into the Octagon now that he isn’t under WWE contract.
Heyman noted that if the offer is right and there is a plan on the table that Brock Lesnar is interested in, there is no reason why the former WWE Champion wouldn’t consider another run in UFC:
“If there’s someone that interests him, if there’s a huge box office appeal for something that Brock can sink his teeth into, he is a beast that will always rise to the occasion.”
For those that don’t know, Brock Lesnar isn’t under WWE contract right now. It emerged just a few months ago that Brock Lesnar’s WWE deal actually expired just after WrestleMania this year, and he hasn’t re-signed yet.
However, it’s important to note that there is not believed to be any worry on the part of WWE about Brock wrestling elsewhere. The belief is that when WWE has something for Brock, they will offer him a deal he cannot refuse.
During Brock Lesnar’s absence, Paul Heyman has been fired as the Executive Director of Raw, but has found himself in an on-screen role on SmackDown alongside Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
