It was rumoured in the past couple of weeks that top independent wrestling star, Alex Zayne AKA “The Sauce, may have been signed by WWE after finishing up on the indie circuit.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that this has indeed happened, and that as one of the biggest independent talents in the world right now, it is a big statement from WWE.
It’s believed that Zayne will be a part of the upcoming WWE Performance Center Class which will also include former AEW Dark wrestler Benjamin Carter and former IMPACT Wrestling tag team The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel).
Zayne recently impressed a number of NJPW officials with some performances on NJPW Strong, and he had his final independent match at last weekend’s GCW “So Much Fun” show.
We will bring any further updates regarding Zayne signing with WWE when they become available.
