On Friday Night SmackDown last week, Chelsea Green made her long-awaited main roster debut, this was six months after it was reported that she was done with NXT and heading up to either Raw or SmackDown.
Unfortunately for the former IMPACT star, her main roster debut ended in disaster after she suffered a broken wrist during her first match on the blue brand. This injury is believed to be getting her out of action until next year.
Taking to Twitter following surgery, Chelsea Green has thanked current AEW star Britt Baker for sending her an awesome care package to aid with her recovery from her second broken wrist.
As previously mentioned, it is pretty likely that Chelsea Green won’t wrestle again for WWE in 2020. Her last broken wrist kept her out of the ring for three months, so by that logic she likely won’t be back in action until February 2021.
At this time, it is unclear whether or not WWE is intending on calling up another female star to SmackDown from NXT to fill the void that Chelsea Green and the recently released Zelina Vega will be leaving on the blue brand.
