As per a new report, Zelina Vega launching her own page on OnlyFans was the “last straw” that led to her being released by WWE this past Friday.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that WWE confirmed to the site that Vega was released for “breaching her contract” due to continuing to engage in third party projects such as Twitch and OnlyFans.
Sources said that WWE management felt that Vega had “boxed them into a difficult situation” by launching her OnlyFans and that’s what led to her release.
The report states that the policy WWE is enforcing is not popular backstage, but Vega’s release is an indication it will be strictly enforced.
Since Vega’s release, SAG-AFTRA (the largest labor union in the US) have said they are “committed to doing what we can to help professional wrestlers secure the protections they deserve”.
