Earlier today, WrestleVotes tweeted and hinted Triple H might be the replacement for Drew McIntyre in the advertised main event, which is now off after McIntyre tested positive for COVID. PWInsider has now confirmed this report and has added to it.
According to the report, the main theme of tonight’s Raw will be focused on building to a confrontation between Triple H and Randy Orton. This confrontation will happen in the main event.
Here is a quote from the report:
“PWInsider.com is told that the main thrust of tonight’s Raw will be building a physical confrontation between Triple H and Randy Orton for the main event slot.”
The report does not officially say there will be a match. However, it seems between the two stories a match of some sort could be in the works. Triple H last wrestled on a Saudi Show against Randy Orton in 2019.
According to both reports, this is WWE’s attempt to offset the NCAA National Championship Football Game. As always, WrestleTalk will have live coverage of tonight’s show.
