A new report has shed more light on WWE live show plans, noting that NXT could welcome back fans soon for live events.
WrestleMania 37 was the first major WWE event in over a year to feature fans. A new report has revealed that NXT plan to resume live shows before the end of the year.
As per the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), NXT will be producing live events before winter comes, all being well. It was noted that these plans are not set in stone, so could easily change before the “the third quarter” is upon us.
Here is the full quote:
“This can all change and will, but we were told the plan is for NXT to go back to running live shows late third quarter of 2021”
It was previously noted that WWE want to resume house shows before AEW begins their live event tour. If AEW advertises a tour, it is reportedly likely that a WWE or NXT tour could be announced, preceding the rival shows.
Unfortunately for NXT, this week’s show didn’t draw as many viewers as the previous weeks. On the show, Legado Del Fantasma shockingly defeated the team of Kushida and MSK.
Former NXT commentator Mauro Ranallo recently called the double title match between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann. Ranallo has stated that the IMPACT Rebellion match reignited his love for wrestling.
