AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has said he’s reconsidering a potential pay-per-view strategy due to the response he received from fans.
You may remember a little while ago Tony Khan said he was thinking about adding an intermission to pay-per-view broadcasts like New Japan, but a lot of fans didn’t like the sound of the idea.
Now speaking on Busted Open Radio, Khan explained that the response has made him reconsider, saying:
“I don’t know if I’m going to do the intermission. I’ve gotten really mixed (reviews)… I might do long (video) packages in the show and maybe give a timer to when we’re back, but I don’t think it’s going to be a big break in the show. The packages are a big part of the show.”
AEW’s next pay-per-view will be the third annual Double Or Nothing on May 30.
We already know Hikaru Shida will defend the Women’s World Title against Britt Baker, and on next week’s Dynamite the match between Orange Cassidy and PAC will decide World Champion Kenny Omega’s challenger.
