Former NXT Star Appears On WWE SmackDown In France WWE

An appearance by a former WWE NXT star in Lyon, France tonight during SmackDown in the role of a security guard during a ringside brawl.

In case you were worried about the security guard who was slammed by Randy Orton into the commentary table on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, never fear: he is a trained professional.

The former Sylvester Lefort as he was known in WWE NXT – or alternatively, as Basile Baraka in TNA Wrestling – was the security guard who got slammed onto the commentary table on tonight’s show.

Lefort was on the NXT roster from 2013 to 2015, during which he was involved in storylines with the likes of Enzo Amore, Dax Harwood (Scott Dawson) and Miro (Rusev).

The other security guards on the scene during SmackDown were also French pro-wrestlers.

In the segment, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were confronted by first Paul Heyman who attempted to get them to not go through with their tag team match at Backlash against Bloodline members Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.

Of note, the crowd in Lyon, France began chanting ‘We Want Roman’ causing Heyman to echo that he too, wanted Roman Reigns back in WWE.

When Heyman’s urgings didn’t seem to work on Orton and Owens, the pair would eventually get attacked from behind by Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in advance of their bout tomorrow.

With copious security guards necessary to pull them apart, Lefort was part of the melee that ended the segment.

Of note, elsewhere on the show in a backstage segment Paul Heyman accidentally let slip that he had not spoken to Roman Reigns since WrestleMania 40.
