The viewership for this week’s (July 5) episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was the lowest it has been since 1993.
On Monday’s show, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston defeated Bobby Lashley and MVP ahead of Money in the Bank. As per Brandon Thurston at Wrestlenomics, the show drew 1.472 million viewers.
In the all important 18-49 demographic, the July 5 show earned a 0.41 rating. Last week’s show earned the same rating.
Thurston pointed out that the September 13, 1993 episode of Raw was watched by just 1.021 million households. This week’s episode of Raw was the least watched since this date.
Brandon Thurston reported the stat on Twitter:
It's been pointed out to me the Oct 1993 issue of Matwatch reported the Sept 13, 1993 episode of Raw was watched by 1.021 million households. If that episode had fewer than 1.45 viewers per home, it could have had fewer total viewers than Mon's episode. (Repost to correct date) pic.twitter.com/0RvHEFUzWf

The most recent episode of IMPACT Wrestling also received a record-low viewership, despite Kenny Omega competing in the main event.
Monday’s main event built towards the WWE championship match scheduled for Money in the Bank. On July 18, Kofi Kingston will challenge Bobby Lashley for Raw’s top title.
