Former WWE star Chelsea Green appeared at ROH Best in the World yesterday, and there are now some more details on the deal.
Green was released by WWE on April 15, and as reported by Fightful Select, she got clearance from WWE to appear before her 90-day non-compete clause had ended.
It’s been said that several stars have asked out of the clause and WWE has largely been understanding and easy to deal with about it.
It was added that the plan for her to appear in ROH was actually put together “well over a month ago”.
Green was added to the 16-woman tournament for the Women of Honor Championship, but can’t actually wrestle yet due to another arm injury.
Fightful’s report added that Chelsea Green does not have an actual contract with ROH at this point, but is expected to do commentary on upcoming ROH shows.
