One of WWE’s absolute favourite things to do is change the names of NXT stars when they join the main roster, with the latest examples of this being Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart becoming Nox and Shotzi.
Thankfully, Toni Storm was still Toni Storm for her SmackDown debut last night, but there was a very noticeable change for Storm for her debut main roster match.
Storm’s finisher throughout her time in NXT was the “Storm Zero”, which was a sit-out powerbomb, but the move she used to defeat Zelina Vega last night was dubbed the “Storm One”, which as you can see below is a very complicated version of a cutter.
Storm was interviewed after the show, and was asked what fans can expect to see from her going forward. She said:
“Well, if you look at the history books… I went to NXT UK, climbed that ladder, went to NXT, climbed that ladder, and now I’m on Friday Night SmackDown, ready to climb this big, big ladder to the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Expect to see good thing.”
Here’s her new move in all its glory.
