NXT UK Champion WALTER has revealed whether or not he feels he’ll eventually move to the US to join NXT in Orlando full-time.
At NXT TakeOver 36, WALTER defends his NXT UK Title against Ilja Dragunov. In the lead-up to their rematch, the champion and challenger have made appearances on the US version of NXT.
Speaking with WrestleTalk’s own Tempest, WALTER noted that he’s happy to visit Orlando, but still prefers to return to the UK brand. Wanting to represent European wrestling, WALTER said:
“For now, it’s the same as it used to be. I’m happy to come over (to the United States), but I like to return and have distance. I’m NXT UK Champion, I’m the owner of the only European championship in WWE, so I’ve got to be (in Europe) to represent. I try to focus on the next challenge, in front of me, and not really much further ahead because with every step, like, whatever the outcome will be, that could change in the future, so at the moment, I try not to make long-term plans ahead, but we’ll see what the future brings. For now, my focus is on Sunday.”

WALTER has also recently discussed his brief WWE main roster run in 2019, noting that he wasn’t bitter following his quick loss at Survivor Series.
Samoa Joe will return to action at NXT TakeOver 36 against Karrion Kross. Joe has stated that he hopes NXT continues to evolve for years to come.
