Chris Jericho has responded to Eric Bischoff telling Tony Khan to ‘shut up and wrestle’, following the AEW President’s comments about WWE.
The former AEW World Champion argued that the WWE were forced into direct competition, citing the October 15 episodes of SmackDown and Rampage going head-to-head for 30 minutes.
Retweeting a video clip shared by Bischoff, Jericho wrote:
“Not sure what a “cosplay competition” is Eric, but @WWE market share has definitely been decreased by @AEW. To the point whenever they forced themselves into “real head to head competition” w us (most recently last Fri) they lost. I’m gonna shut the f**k up now & keep wrestling.”
In Tony Khan’s response to Bischoff, the AEW President noted that he is focused on wrestling, and not pushing talent out of the company, claiming that Jericho couldn’t leave WCW fast enough while Bischoff was in power.
Khan has also announced a preview special that will air ahead of Saturday’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
