An update has emerged on Shane McMahon’s WWE future,
During the show, Shane McMahon made his return to WWE TV as a surprise entrant in the men’s Rumble. This was reportedly not a one-off, with McMahon set for action at two big WWE shows.
Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, McMahon is booked for Elimination Chamber on February 19, and WrestleMania 38 in April. Ringside News also reports that Shane is set to wrestle during this year’s Show of Shows. It is currently unclear who these matches will be against, however WWE reportedly has a match for McMahon in the books, which hadn’t been finalised as of a few days ago.
PWInsider reports that McMahon is set to appear on Raw regularly moving forward, as a heel.
McMahon notably eliminated Kevin Owens from Saturday’s Royal Rumble match, before reaching the final three competitors of the contest. Prior to this bout, McMahon last wrestled at WrestleMania 37 last year, losing a steel cage match to Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr).
There is reportedly a lot of heat on Shane McMahon right now, with some in WWE believing that the Boss’ son tried to book the Rumble around himself.
Brock Lesnar won the men’s Rumble, after losing his WWE Title earlier in the night. Stay up to date with every 2022 title change in WWE using our tracker at this link.
