An AEW World Title Eliminator Match has been added to Wednesday’s Fyter Fest Week One special of Dynamite.
AEW President Tony Khan has announced that Jon Moxley will face Konosuke Takeshita in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match on Wednesday’s Dynamite for the Fyter Fest Week One special.
Khan posted the following:
After @Takesoup’s amazing battle vs @MadKing1981, AEW Interim World Champion @JonMoxley wants to fight Takeshita on #AEWDynamite!
While I won’t sanction it as a title match since Eddie won Friday’s bout, if Takeshita wins Wednesday on TBS vs Mox then he earns a future title shot!

Takeshita is coming off a hard fought loss to Moxley’s best friend Eddie Kingston on last Friday’s AEW Rampage.
Meanwhile, Jon Moxley defeated Brody King to retain the Interim AEW World Championship in his first defense since winning the gold at Forbidden Door.
This bout joins The Young Bucks defending the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Swerve In Our Glory (Swerve Strickland & Keith Lee) and Team Taz (Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs) in a three-way match, Claudio Castagnoli vs. Jake Hager and Serena Deeb vs. Anna Jay on the show.
Week Two of Fyter Fest on Wednesday, July 20 will see Eddie Kingston take on Chris Jericho in a barbed wire deathmatch, with the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society locked in a shark cage.
