Former SmackDown star Chelsea Green has reacted to reports about WWE being interested in re-signing her.
Numerous stars have returned to WWE following Triple H taking over creative, including Bray Wyatt, who made an appearance in the closing moments of Extreme Rules, and the Good Brothers, who reunited the OC with AJ Styles.
Per WrestleVotes‘ recent report, WWE has ‘significant interest‘ in bringing back Chelsea Green. This report, along with Green & Purrazzo dropping the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Title at Bound For Glory, had some speculating that Green will soon appear on WWE TV.
Green has now taken to Twitter with a photo of her ‘Hot Mess’ character. Appearing to comment on recent rumors, Green captioned the post:
Me, loving every minute of the internet continuing to keep me relevant 😁
Green was released from her WWE contract in April 2021. WrestleVotes’ report also fuelled speculation over the potential WWE return of Green’s husband, Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder), who left WWE in 2020, after 15 years with the company.
Cardona recently discussed the possibility of a WWE return, revealing that he still thinks about a potential future WWE Championship win.
