Former AEW World Champions Adam Page and Jon Moxley have been at war over the past few weeks since Page made his return to AEW back in November.
Despite Page making his return and brawling with Moxley, he had yet to be officially cleared for in-ring competition.
On tonight’s (January 4) AEW Dynamite show, we got an update on the condition of Page following weeks of altercations between he and Moxley.
Tony Schiavone introduced Page to the ring, where he said that he would not be cleared so long as he and Moxley continued fighting.
He then revealed that, so long as he and Moxley don’t brawl tonight, he will be cleared for competition by next week’s show in the Forum in Los Angeles.
Moxley then came out and accepted Page’s challenge, making the match official for next week’s Dynamite.
The show is set to also feature the final best of seven series match between the Elite and Death Triangle for the Trios Championship, and the tag team match between AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker taking on Saraya and a chosen partner.
There has been a major spoiler on the identity of Saraya’s partner, which you can see here.
