A top WWE star has declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Heading into tonight’s go-home edition of SmackDown, only sixteen competitors had declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Making a rare appearance on the Friday night show, Raw’s United States Champion Austin Theory cut a promo bragging about his win over Bobby Lashley on Raw 30.
Theory was interrupted by NXT Tag Team Champions The New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods said that Kingston would win the Rumble for the team before they were interrupted by Raw’s The Miz.
The former two-time WWE Champion declared himself for the Royal Rumble as well. He joined Theory in attacking The New Day, leading to a huge brawl that brought up another Raw star in Bobby Lashley.
Lashley cleared house and vowed to run through every man in the Rumble, but Brock Lesnar made his first appearance on SmackDown since August 2022 to lay out Lashley with a F-5.
Lesnar grabbed a microphone and declared himself for the Men’s Royal Rumble. Brock will be looking to make history and tie Stone Cold Steve Austin with his third Rumble win of his career.
