Former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose has commented on her wrestling future, teasing a potential AEW run.
Mandy Rose was released by WWE on December 14, 2022, after the company found out about the type of content she was posting on her FanTime subscription page.
It’s worth reiterating a misconception – WWE didn’t fire Rose just because of the fact she had a subscription service, but reportedly more so because of the nature of what she was posting on there, which, per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the company thought ‘way, way, way crossed the line’.
Teasing reunions with Saraya and Dustin Rhodes in AEW, Rose said:
“Oh, that would be nice (to reunite with Saraya in AEW)… Oh yeah, oh my God (I could reunite with Dustin Rhodes too). I have a few little old schools that we could reunite.
“I haven’t ruled it out for sure (coming back to wrestling). It’s not like the boots are hung up and stuff.
“It’s not like that but right now, it’s not my main focus but just right now, it’s not my main focus but definitely for the future maybe. We’ll see.
Rose notably made her WWE main roster debut as part of the Absolution faction with Saraya (Paige) and Sonya Deville in November 2017.
The former WWE star teamed with Dustin Rhodes (Goldust) during the 2018 Mixed Match Challenge, losing to Naomi & Jimmy Uso in the first round of the tournament.
There is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding Naomi’s WWE future. You can read the latest update on Naomi right here.
