Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White has been the talk of the wrestling world after his ‘Loser Leaves Japan’ defeat to Hikuleo at NJPW’s New Beginning in Osaka show.
White’s deal with NJPW is reportedly up very soon, with interest in him coming from many different promotions, namely WWE and AEW.
White’s post match actions, namely sharing a fist bump with Hiroshi Tanahashi, led many to believe that was in fact White’s last match with the company before leaving.
Taking to Twitter today, the Switchblade again teased that he would be leaving the company, posting four photos from the match with the caption:
Peace. – #SwitchbladeEra
White is still set for one more NJPW appearance, as he is set to face off against Eddie Kingston at the NJPW Battle in the Valley show in San Jose, California on February 18.
Several WWE stars have taken to Twitter since the match to tease that Switchblade could be on his way into the company.
Peace.
