Former IWGP World Champion Jay White has been the talk of the wrestling world today following last night’s NJPW New Beginning in Osaka show.
On the show, White was defeated by Hikuleo in a ‘Loser Leaves Japan’ match, before he bumped fists with Hiroshi Tanahashi at ringside, in what seemed a definitive end to his run in the company.
Naturally, with White departing NJPW, the question arises of what is next for the Switchblade, with the two obvious companies being the main speculation points.
Previous reports indicated that those within WWE were ‘confident’ they could secure White’s services, and now some WWE stars appear to be teasing his arrival.
The first was NXT’s Grayson Waller, who simply posted a gif of a Switchblade to Twitter with no caption.
Then Bronson Reed, who spent time in NJPW prior to his WWE return, shared a photo of himself and Jay White together.
