An AEW star says he wants to make All Elite Wrestling the best company he can.
Following the actions of CM Punk during the AEW All Out post-show press conference that led to a fight between him and The Elite, various stars have came to the defense of the former AEW World Champion.
Dax Harwood of FTR is one of Punk’s closest friends in the company and discussed the All Out incident as well as the months leading up to the incident on the first episode of his podcast, FTR with Dax Harwood.
Harwood shared his side of the story and expressed his hope that the two sides would work it out to help All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Dax reflected on his comments about Punk and The Elite and noted that he was speaking about one of his best friends as his genuine self. Making it clear that he wants to make AEW the best company he can, Harwood said:
“That was David Harwood speaking, and I was talking about one of my best friends. Just because of what happened, or what people think happened, there is no ill will. I’m here, at least through the duration of my contract in April, to make AEW the best company I can.”
“If I continue to stay here, I want to make AEW the best company I possibly can, especially the younger wrestlers. There is so much potential here.”
“Deep down, there are good people in wrestling—myself, Cash, Matt Koon, Punk, The Young Bucks—and we all inherently want to be good.”
Harwood and his partner Cash Wheeler have been granted a few months off of television by Tony Khan in order to heal their bodies, but Dax recently expressed some displeasure with the company, which you can read here.
FTR’s contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire in April. It remains to be seen if they will re-sign with the promotion or not.
