We just minutes away from the start of the WrestleMania 39 pre-show, so here’s the latest updates on a couple of big rumored returns.
First is Randy Orton, who has been reported to be in Los Angeles for the show, but is reportedly not ready to return to the ring yet, or at least people in WWE are saying that.
However, a new report from Fightful Select notes that Orton has told people close to him that “he’s not done wrestling”, which was legitimately a fear in WWE when he took time away due to injuries.
So he might not be ready quite yet, but he’s eager to get back in the ring when he’s recovered, he is there for the festivities this weekend.
Another update is on Steve Austin, who WWE made several pitches too for WrestleMania, reportedly including a match with Brock Lesnar, a match with Roman Reigns, and something with LA Knight.
The first two obviously fell through, and Knight’s status for WrestleMania isn’t clear as he was in the Andre The Giant battle royal on SmackDown last night.
Fightful’s new report notes that, while nothing can be confirmed, “the idea that he could still appear has been picking up traction backstage”.
Stay tuned to the site because there’ll obviously be a lot of news before, during and after the show, and we’ll be keeping you updated with all of it.
