Former WWE star Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) has once again fuelled speculation about a potential return to the company.
Since Triple H took over WWE creative in July 2022, Matt Cardona has been one of the names rumored to be making a WWE return.
Following reports and interviews indicating that both sides would potentially be open to working together, the former ‘Zack Ryder’ hasn’t yet made a WWE comeback.
WWE is currently in the midst of a major roster shake-up, with the WWE Draft starting on Friday’s (April 28) edition of SmackDown, and continuing on Monday Night Raw.
Following SmackDown’s draft segments, Cardona took to Twitter to share his previous SmackDown Live draft graphic previously used in the 2016 WWE Draft.
Of course there’s likely nothing to read into it right now other than Cardona playing around on Twitter, but many are still predicting he’ll end up back in WWE one day.
Cardona’s wife Chelsea Green made her WWE return in January, for a very brief stint in the women’s Royal Rumble match.
The Indy God was recently referenced on WWE TV, with Cody Rhodes recalling a conversation he had with ‘Matt’.
Both Chelsea Green and Cody Rhodes have already found out their new home brands during this year’s WWE Draft.
