An update has emerged on if WWE’s creative process will change following the sale to Endeavor.
As confirmed on Monday (April 3), Endeavor has purchased WWE and will merge it into one sports and entertainment company with the UFC.
Following this announcement, there was a lot of speculation about how WWE creative will work moving forward, with some fans predicting that there would be some WWE-UFC crossover.
WWE President and CEO Nick Khan has now indicated that WWE creative will stay the same following the merger.
During Wednesday’s (May 3) Q1 2023 earnings call, Nick Khan stated that there’s nobody at Endeavor, or in UFC, who has any interest in interfering with WWE creative.
On the call were Nick Khan, Paul Levesque (Triple H), and Frank Riddick, but no Vince McMahon.
Triple H noted that he believes Endeavor will help WWE grow its international presence.
Later on in the call, Triple H revealed the changes WWE has made to increase viewership, believing that the company has now assembled the right team across the board.
Nick Khan’s comments on Backlash during the call also appeared to support previous reports about how much WWE is being paid to host the event in Puerto Rico, which you can read more about right here.
