Here’s what happened with Cody Rhodes after the June 2 edition of SmackDown went off the air.
Cody Rhodes’ most recent televised match saw him face off against Brock Lesnar with a broken arm at WWE Night of Champions 2023.
The Beast was ultimately too much of a challenge for Rhodes, who passed out in Lesnar’s Kimura lock.
On the following episode of Raw, Rhodes challenged Lesnar to show up to any event he’s scheduled for.
Rhodes returned to the ring after the June 2 episode of SmackDown to face The Miz in a dark match.
As you can see in the video below, Rhodes still wrestled with his arm brace.
The American Nightmare ultimately picked up the victory to send the crowd home happy.
After the bout, Rhodes thanked his fans for their support.
Rhodes appearance at the taping was initially advertised by the arena, leading to some confusion about his status, before it was revealed that he’d just be featured in dark segments.
On the show, Rhodes’ WrestleMania 39 opponent Roman Reigns received a new WWE Undisputed Universal Championship title belt, which you can read more about right here.
