UPDATE: Austin Gunn has provided an update on his request of Tony Khan – find out more at this link.
An AEW star has encouraged fans to tag Tony Khan on Twitter with a very specific request regarding his entrance music.
Popping on to Twitter, Austin Gunn shared his request for a permanent change in the Gunns entrance theme to the one they used recently on television.
Ahead of a big careers versus titles match where The Gunns put their AEW Tag Team Championships on the line against FTR’s careers in AEW, the team debuted a new licensed theme.
For the April 5 edition of AEW Dynamite, the Gunns entrance theme was the 2003 banger, Many Men (Wish Death) by 50 Cent.
While the Gunns would go on to lose the AEW World Tag Team Championships that night, the very cool entrance stuck out with fans who have wondered since, where did the Fifty bop go?
Well it seems Austin Gunn is also hoping to ask that vital question, of AEW CEO Tony Khan as he has encouraged fans to petition the Owner, President and Head of Creative to reinstate the tag team’s special theme.
Writing on Twitter, Austin Gunn made this claim to AEW fans:
“if this tweet gets 1,000 retweets
“@TonyKhan has to give us “Many Men” as our permanent entrance song”
Going on to add a qualifier, Austin encouraged AEW fans to blow up Tony Khan’s mentions (in so many words) by saying:
“make sure to tag @TonyKhan to show how important this is to y’all”
At the time of writing, that Tweet currently has well over 1,000 retweets as the number continues to climb in support of bringing back ‘Many Men’ for the Ass Boys.
Tony Khan has yet to respond, last Tweeting over five hours ago seemingly in jubilant response to the very positive AEW ratings figures from last night’s edition of the show.
Your move TK! Just in case Curtis Jackson charges a hefty fee for the song’s appearance on television, perhaps fans should begin compiling lists of secondary choices for the Gunns.
Let us know in the comments which song you would choose for the Gunns to use as their entrance theme!
Elsewhere in AEW news, the Gunns are set to have a major upcoming entrance on AEW Collision Saturday June 24 on the eve of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
The Gunns are teaming with Bullet Club Gold (Juice Robinson and Jay White) to take on the big team of CM Punk, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Ricky Starks in what is sure to be a big battle.
