IYO SKY has become WWE’s newest Money in the Bank winner after an impressive showing at premium live event of the same name.
In the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, Bayley, IYO SKY, Zelina Vega, Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark all battled it out for a chance to climb the ladder to capture the titular briefcase.
The match featured a variety of wild spots (including Zelina Vega delivering a massive Code Red off the top of the ladder onto another ladder on Zoey Stark) it was one final wild one that would prove to seal the deal for the winner.
Previously, IYO SKY was a considerable distance up a ladder when it was her Damage CTRL ally Bayley who shoved over the ladder, knocking SKY into the corner turnbuckle.
With Zoey Stark previously having brought out handcuffs in an attempt to neutralize Becky Lynch, Lynch would eventually free herself, use the other side of the cuff as a fish hook to pull Bayley back down a ladder but unfortunately for Becky, they would have one more use.
IYO SKY would re-emerge as Becky and Bayley were battling on a ladder already set up under the briefcase.
SKY used the handcuffs still attached to Becky to handcuff Lynch to Bayley across and through the ladder, pinning them in place as they were handcuffed to each other and the ladder, unable to move.
Crawling around to get up the ladder, IYO SKY captured the Money in the Bank briefcase and secured her spot as the newest Miss Money in the Bank.
The Money in the Bank premium live event kicked off live from London’s O2 arena with the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match featuring Logan Paul, Damian Priest, LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet and Butch.
