After a match full of wild spots, there was a surprise winner of the 2023 WWE Money in the Bank ladder match.
Heading into the match, LA Knight and Logan Paul were the two favorites, but neither of those pulled down the briefcase.
Live from London’s O2 arena, the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match featured Logan Paul, Damian Priest, LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Shinsuke Nakamura, Butch and Ricochet going to war for the titular briefcase.
After what Michael Cole described as “an absolutely ridiculous match,” there is now a new Money in the Bank briefcase holder.
In the end, it was Damian Priest who captured the victory after a series of wild spots saw all of the other competitors in the match ejected from the ring, the last one being the sentimental favorite LA Knight.
Priest won the briefcase and the opportunity to ‘cash in’ on the champion of his choosing at any time and at any place, and of course still to come is Seth Rollins defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on against Priest’s Judgment Day teammate, who he’s been having some friction with lately, Finn Balor.
