An injury has unfortunately been confirmed for a former AEW champion, with surgery being required.
After dealing with injury issues earlier this year, former TBS Champion Julia Hart had recently returned to action in early March competing a number of times on TV prior to her final defence of the TBS Championship at AEW Dynasty on April 21.
The match saw Hart drop her title to Willow Nightingale, however, it appears that in the build to Dynasty Hart was unfortunately injured once again according to Fightful Select.
A new report has revealed that early indications are suggesting that Hart will require surgery on the injury, however, no specifics on the injury or surgery itself have been confirmed at this time.
Hart is not currently planned to appear on AEW’s upcoming TV broadcasts as things stand.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on Hart’s injury status as/when they become available.
We would also like to extend our well-wishes to Hart in her recovery.
New TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will defend her title for the first time at AEW Double or Nothing against the debuting Mercedes Mone.
