AEW’s Kenny Omega Admits He’s Jealous Of Major WWE Star

AEW’s Kenny Omega Admits He’s Jealous Of Major WWE Star AEW/WWE

AEW EVP Kenny Omega has shared his honest thoughts on former WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

With Kenny Omega holding the AEW World Title at the same time Reigns was champion in late 2020 and throughout 2021, many fans drew comparisons between the duo’s runs at the tops of their respective companies.

During a recent Twitch stream, Omega praised Roman Reigns, noting that he wouldn’t tolerate any Roman Reigns slander in his chat.

Noting that he’s jealous of how Reigns is presented on TV, Omega explained:

“No… I’m not gonna accept any Roman Reigns slander in this chat. I really think he’s incredible and I don’t think he’s boring either. I actually would say I’m pretty jealous because Roman Reigns is presented the exact same way that I would love to be presented.

“He’s presented as The Man whose the champion to have big matches at the pay-per-views where your really cheering for him or cheering for someone else. That’s professional wrestling. He’s getting the deal what I did in New Japan so I can’t be a hater on that. I’m a fan.”

With Roman Reigns dropping the WWE Undisputed Universal Title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, and withdrawing himself from the 2024 WWE Draft pool it’s currently unknown when he will be back on WWE TV.

Omega will make his AEW TV return on Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite in Winnipeg, Canada.

The former AEW World Champion has been off TV since December 2023, dealing with diverticulitis.

An update has emerged on another former AEW World Champion, with MJF’s current injury status revealed.
