NJPW star Great-O-Khan has stated that he has turned down offers from AEW President Tony Khan in order to stay in NJPW.
Great-O-Khan is part of the United Empire faction, led by IWGP US Champion Will Ospreay.
He was one of the founding members of the group, and has seen Ospreay’s faction expand ever since.
Two of O-Khan’s factionmates, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis of Aussie Open, have since moved on from NJPW and signed with AEW.
In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Great-O-Khan indicated that he has turned down opportunities to work for AEW to stay in Japan.
When it was suggested that the United Empire is leaving NJPW, Great-O-Khan said:
What do you mean? You, shut up. It was on orders that Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) went to AEW to expand the empire’s territory… as planned.
I also got a big offer from (AEW president) Tony Khan, and MJF (asked me to fight), but I turned them down in favor of my invasion of New Japan,

O-Khan is set to compete in the G1 Climax tournament, as part of the B-block.
Other stars notably set to clash with O-Khan in block action include Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay.

Ospreay defeated Kenny Omega to regain the IWGP US Championship at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door on June 25.
