An update has emerged on the upcoming all-women’s wrestling promotion set to launch later this year, with another star set to compete for the promotion revealed.
As previously reported, a new all-women’s wrestling company is in the works, with the new company set to have an authentic Joshi Japanese wrestling feel.
Previous reports revealed that former WWE Women’s Champion Bull Nakano will be a ‘signature star’ for the promotion.
PWInsider has now confirmed that Risa Sera is now set to appear for this US-based Japanese women’s wrestling promotion.
Sera regularly appears for STARDOM, and is the leader of the Prominence faction.
Alongside her factionmates Hiragi Kurumi and Suzu Suzuki, Sera won this year’s STARDOM Triangle Derby tournament, and previously held the Artist of Stardom Championship.
Other names previously confirmed for the new promotion included Arisa Nakajima and Tomoka Inaba.
The promotion will launch with a debut show in New York City this September.
Per PWInsider, the ‘brain trust’ behind the company is focusing on building content surrounding the promotion.
This reportedly includes a big focus on developing anime content related to the wrestling.
