Many wrestling contracts are set to expire in the coming months going into 2024, which is set to be an exciting time for contract renewals for both fans and wrestlers.
Two major WWE stars’ contracts that are currently set to expire next year are Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre, but we now know another former WWE Champion whose contract is set to expire next year.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Sheamus’ contract with the company is currently set to expire in 2024.
WWE sources believe his deal to be up in the first quarter or first half of the year, though that timeframe has not been confirmed, as pro wrestling contracts have a lot of caveats that could extend that time.
Sheamus has captured five World Championships during his time with the company, as well as a Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank and King of the Ring victory.
Sheamus has made his quest to capture the Intercontinental Championship, the one title he has yet to win in WWE, rather known, with him coming up short against Gunther multiple times during the Ring General’s record-breaking title run.
Sheamus currently leads the Brawling Brutes stable with Ridge Holland and Butch on SmackDown.
Sheamus was the final WWE opponent of Edge, who also finds himself in the middle of a contract saga right now, with many in the company believing him to be AEW-bound.
