Raw star Cody Rhodes’ next opponent has potentially been revealed, following the events of a recent WWE house show.
While Cody Rhodes still regularly wrestles on WWE Raw, the American Nightmare hasn’t had a major singles rivalry since defeating Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
Instead, Rhodes has been joining forces with the several stars at odds with the Judgment Day faction… and welcoming Jey Uso to the Red Brand.
At Saturday’s (September 23) WWE house show in Palm Springs, California, Cody Rhodes’ next rival appeared to reveal himself.
During the show, an MVP Lounge segment with Rhodes, MVP and Omos led to a street-fight between Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio.
Omos ultimately interfered in this match, attacking Rhodes. You can watch a video of this interaction below.
As WWE often uses house shows to test out rivalries and matches before bringing them to TV, this clip has led to speculation about a potential Rhodes vs Omos rivalry.
Omos’ most recent televised in-ring appearance saw him compete in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam, which was ultimately won by LA Knight.
A notable NXT star was also in action at this show, fuelling rumors about a main roster call-up.
