SmackDown star Grayson Waller has reacted to Adam Copeland (Edge) joining AEW following his appearance at WrestleDream.
Following Copeland’s WWE contract expiring at the end of September, the Rated-R Superstar made his AEW debut on the October 1 show, confronting Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne.
One of Copeland’s last WWE opponents has now commented on his defection, with Grayson Waller taking to Twitter to share his thoughts on the situation.
Always humble, Waller wrote:
You’re welcome for the rub on the way out kid.
Waller faced off against the former ‘Edge’ on the July 7 edition of SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.
This bout was Waller’s first on the main roster, and while he ultimately came up short, the rising star received a lot of praise following this match.
The Rated-R Superstar took to the mic after the match to state that Waller swam and didn’t sink.
Sami Zayn has also taken to social media to address Copeland’s AEW move, which you can read more about right here.
