Japanese star Katsuhiko Nakajima has commented on potential AEW and WWE interest ahead of his departure from Pro Wrestling NOAH.
Nakajima is set to make his final appearance for NOAH on October 28, before moving on from the promotion he previously called home.
Because of this, there has been a lot of rumors about Nakajima’s next move, with Dave Meltzer recently reporting that NJPW, WWE and AEW are all companies ‘very high in the speculation‘.
Tony Khan has confirmed that he’s interested in working with Nakajima, noting that he believes the former GHC Champion would be a great fit in AEW.
Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Nakajima noted that he hasn’t made a decision about his in-ring future.
Addressing rumors about runs with AEW and WWE, he said:
(I’m looking for) scenery that cannot be seen or felt in NOAH. For example, if I were to go to WWE or AEW, I would have already announced it.
Then you can graduate cleanly. Nothing was decided, so I didn’t hold a press conference and announced it on social media.
Nakajima made his pro-wrestling debut in September 2003 in World Japan with an NJPW debut happening in May 2004.
He joined NOAH in July 2005 and is a former two-time GHC Champion, three-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion and has held the GHC Tag Team Championship on six occasions.
