A top WWE star is set to switch brands in the Jey Uso SmackDown trade storyline.
At the September 2 Payback premium live event, Cody Rhodes revealed that he had worked out a deal to bring Jey Uso from SmackDown to Raw, following Jey’s feud with the Bloodline.
Following the reveal, Adam Pearce revealed to Uso that someone will have to be traded in exchange for the former Bloodline member.
As previously reported, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that WWE planned to reveal who would be traded for Jey Uso on tonight’s October 13 edition of SmackDown.
PWInsider has provided an update, noting that Kevin Owens is expected to be at tonight’s SmackDown taping.
The report notes that Owens will be announced as having been “traded” to the SmackDown brand in exchange for Jey Uso.
However, Uso can now appear on SmackDown after he and Cody Rhodes defeated The Judgment Day to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WWE Fastlane.
