Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has reacted to AEW Dynamite beating WWE SmackDown in the TV ratings.
The November 24 edition of WWE SmackDown was pre-empted from Fox to FS1 for the second time in four weeks, which led to near-record low viewership of 789,000 viewers with 0.24 demo rating.
This rating is actually lower than the November 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, which drew 845,000 viewers with 0.26 demo rating.
On November 29, Chris Jericho took to social media to quote tweet a post with the rating numbers and made a joke about the current fan discourse about AEW. He wrote:
But I thought the sky was falling!!?? @aew
Jericho was not there live on last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, but was featured in a clip showing him being attacked by AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill following AEW Full Gear.
Jericho and Kenny Omega, better known as The Golden Jets, are the number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
