Tony Khan has outlined plans for AEW in England and beyond during a recent interview, saying “the possibilities are interesting.”
With AEW All In returning to Wembley Stadium in London, England for its second show in August 2024, Tony Khan recently confirmed that would be the only AEW show in England next year.
He has however revealed further plans for England and Europe in a recent interview with The Athletic.
With Khan seeing AEW All In as a ‘Wembley tradition’ in the same vein as the FA Cup soccer final, he gave further insight into his plans to bring television programming to the UK, saying:
“It’s something I’ve considered, but I’m going to make sure that AEW All In is the only show AEW is going to do in England this year. And that is a very specific statement.
“Someday, maybe we could add more shows in England, make it a regular event and do more touring there.”
He would go on to outline his thinking for shows in Europe, stating:
“I am not limiting us to other places outside of England, but I do think that’s a good guarantee for 2024.
“And if we make stops in other places around Europe or nearby, that could be beneficial and would make sense.”
Khan would go on to reiterate the importance of AEW All In in London, adding:
“Making All In the sole focus of our English operation is really important to us, and looking at other places around Europe, or even around the UK; the possibilities are interesting.
“Eventually, I’d like to expand our English touring and do more events — but once we’ve established All In as the premier wrestling tradition.”
In the interview, Khan would also suggest that Bryan Danielson’s final match, at least as a full-time wrestler, could take place at the upcoming London PPV.
It was recently reported that Taylor Swift’s The Era Tour shows at Wembley Stadium in 2024 would impact AEW All In.
