A top AEW star has revealed their injury status ahead of some major upcoming matches in the company and NJPW.
Bryan Danielson has had an incredible 2023, which included a dream match with Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, with Bryan defeating Okada by submission with a broken arm.
Bryan returned to the ring at AEW All Out in September following his broken arm, but ahead of his upcoming big matches in the Continental Classic and rematch with Okada at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, he provided an update on his injury status.
Speaking to New Japan Pro Wrestling, Bryan revealed that he still doesn’t have full strength in his right arm following the injury at Forbidden Door.
He said:
“And because I wrestled for another 10 minutes with a broken arm and because I fought through, I couldn’t hold my son for two months. I still don’t have full strength in my right arm, because I did come back a little bit early, because I come back when people need me to come back…”
Bryan is set to face Eddie Kingston in the Blue League final of the Continental Classic on tonight’s AEW Dynamite show.
